AI Video Clipper for Mac

The desktop version does everything the web app does, plus two things it can't: paste a YouTube link directly, and process the whole video on your own Mac. Same AI clip cutting, same animated subtitles, same account.

Why the Mac app

Paste YouTube links directly

Drop in a YouTube URL and the app downloads the video for you, with no manual file export first. This isn't available in the web version.

Processes on your Mac

Download, transcription and cutting run locally on Apple Silicon. Your video doesn't sit in an upload queue and doesn't leave your machine to be cut.

No upload wait for big files

Because the file never has to be uploaded, long recordings and large files start processing immediately.

The same clips as web

Vertical 9:16 clips, AI moment detection, animated word-by-word subtitles and title overlays. The output is identical to wowcut.app.

Subtitles in 12 languages

Keep the original language or translate the captions into 12. The full multilingual pipeline works offline-first on the desktop.

One login, synced plan

Sign in with the same Google account as the web app. Your plan and limits carry over, so there is nothing to buy twice.

Web vs Mac app

Everything in the pipeline is the same. The desktop app just adds direct YouTube input and local processing.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Mac app free?

The app is free to download and the first analysis is free. Paid plans are the same as on the web and are shared with your account.

Which Macs are supported?

Apple Silicon Macs (M1 through M5). Intel Macs aren't supported yet. The app is notarized by Apple, so it opens without security warnings.

Can I really paste a YouTube link?

Yes, and it is the main reason the desktop app exists. Paste a YouTube URL and the app downloads and processes the video locally. The web version takes an uploaded file instead.

Does my video get uploaded to your servers?

On the Mac app, downloading and cutting run on your own machine. Transcription and AI analysis use the same APIs as the web so results match.

Do I need a separate account?

No. Sign in with the same Google account as the web app. Your plan, limits and history carry over.

How do I get updates?

There's no auto-update yet. When a new version ships, download the latest DMG from this page and replace the app.
